Rest Area Power
National Solar Technologies' (NST) new rural electrification
package offers remote parks or highway rest areas unconnected
to the power grid a solar powered comfort station. Designed to
provide basic comforts to conventional camp and highway rest areas,
this versatile system, requiring only direct access to sunlight
to operate effectively, provides access lighting, and continuous
stack ventilation to improve pit air circulation and to reduce
noxious odors. The system is designed to provide necessary lighting
even after cloudy days. Adjustable interior lighting duration
to ensure an adequate period of light availability. The external
lighting is automatically activated at dusk and shuts of after
4 hours (adjustable), acting as both an energy-saving feature
and eliminating unwanted nighttime glare. Motion sensor lighting
also available.
