NOTABLE PROJECTS

Iraq- National Solar Technologies has been awarded multiple contracts to supply solar powered street light systems to the US Military in Iraq for reconstruction efforts. Major goals have been achieved due to the simple installation of NSTs solar powered street lights.  Increased security at night and a decreased level of attacks have been noted due to the streets being illuminated at night.  National Solar Technologies has been a key asset to the efforts of the US Military with regard to lighting up portions of Iraq with solar powered streetlights.  Having light at night has also given added security for troop patrols at night in areas that were otherwise dark at night. Some of the solar lighting units have been outfitted with NSTs bullet resistant shields to inhibit the lights from being destroyed by insurgent bullets.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply and install a building integrated solar and wind power system to power a building at a US Army Reserve Base in the US.  The system utilizes solar and wind energy to charge a battery bank which is connected to a power center has a power output 110VAC power to operate interior and exterior lighting as well as power requirements inside the building.

Afghanistan- National Solar Technologies has been awarded multiple contracts to supply solar powered flood light systems to the US Military in Afghanistan for building perimeter lighting around a US Military Base in Afghanistan.  The systems are used as a security measure to help reduce the chance of insurgent attacks and protect troops that would otherwise be patrolling these areas in darkness.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply solar power sources to operate remote gates at a US Military base located in the US.  The units operate heavy duty sliding gates with an access key pad in a remote area where power is not available.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply solar power lighting for remote training towers and portable solar powered floodlights for remote training areas at a US Military Base.  The lighting systems are able to light the way for night training by the Military.  The areas that are illuminated are far from any utility grid connection and the use of generators was not an option due to the cost and flammable danger of having to transport fuel to the area.

Iraq- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to provide portable solar power sources to the US Military for remote power requirements to operate satellite uplinks and communication equipment. These solar power systems allowed the Military to operate without needing to refuel a conventional generator and also allowed them to operate there missions without the noise of a gas generator.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply solar powered parking lot lighting systems for rest areas in Utah.  The rural rest areas don't have a connection source to the power grid so the best alternative was to use NST's solar powered parking lot lighting systems.  The systems are spread across a number of rest areas in a rural portion of Utah.  These lighting systems are needed for driver safety as well as public security at the rest areas.

Haiti- National Solar Technologies a been awarded multiple contracts to supply solar power systems to the US Dept. of State for use in Haiti at police stations.  The systems use solar energy to charge batteries which are connected into a power center that power communications equipment at police stations across Haiti.  The systems are a key source of power to the police as power in much of Haiti is not available or extremely unreliable. The police are able to communicate with the officers on duty in the streets as well as between police stations.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply and install a remote solar power system to the National Park Service.  The solar power system provides power to remote rest rooms and a pavilion area at a US National Park located off Long Island, NY.  Motion activated lighting is used in the rest rooms to conserve power usage.  The pavilion is also outfitted with canopy lighting which can be turned  ON/OFF by park rangers using wireless remote technology.

Afghanistan- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply solar powered street light systems to the US Military in Afghanistan.  The solar powered lighting systems are used to illuminate high insurgency areas and have increased security in those areas.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply trailer mounted solar power systems to the US Government.  The trailer mounted solar power systems are used in a remote desert training location for use in counter-terrorism training.  The systems are used to power satellite uplinks, sensors, and camera systems to record training exercises and feed real time video to various government counter-terrorism training centers in the US.  The systems have multiple power outputs for the wide range of power requirements needed at the remote sites.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply and install solar powered parking lot lighting systems and walkway lighting systems at a US Federal facility in Washington, DC.  The systems are installed in three parking lots and along a 500 Ft. long walkway.  The lighting systems are designed with a remote wireless timer activation system to turn the lights ON/OFF as needed or based on a pre-determined timed ON/OFF program.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply mobile/portable solar power sources to the US Military for power sources to operate remote repeater units in a desert environment.  The solar power systems are integral to a wheeled, all aluminum, welded stand that have a mast that can be extended or folded.  The system antenna is mounted to the top of the mast for a complete turn-key solution to there power system / repeater unit requirement.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply its solar powered portable floodlight systems to a Marine Corps Training facility in the US.  The portable solar powered floodlights are used in a remote desert training area to illuminate base camps and pathway areas.  Savings in generator fuel costs and noise from generators was negated due to the use of NST's portable solar powered floodlights which use clean solar energy and run without any noise generated from the systems.

Africa- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply solar power systems to operate low voltage lighting and supply low wattage power for temporary housing units in remote parts of Africa.  The units were distributed as part of a humanitarian effort in regions where power was not available.

United States- National Solar Technologies has been awarded a contract to supply temporary portable solar powered floodlights to a Federal Facility in Washington, DC.  The systems are used in parking areas and walkways to illuminate the way for Federal employees in the parking lots.  The systems were the best and most cost effective solution for the facility as permanent lighting was not present and could not be installed due to ongoing construction in the area.
