Grid Interactive Solar Power Systems
Already have grid power to a building or parking but you want to reduce your utility bill or carbon footprint? National Solar Technologies has the answer you've been looking for. Grid-Interactive solar power systems work as the main source of power for you electrical loads and use the grid power as a back-up power source.
A solar power source can be integrated into your building or at ground level next to your building and become a source for you to save money on your electric utility bill, operate your critical electrical loads even when the grid power is down and reduce your carbon footprint.
A grid-interactive solar power system can also be used for parking lots where infrastructure and light poles are already in place. The solar power system uses the existing infrastructure wiring to get power to the lights. The solar power system is located in an area adjacent to the parking lot(s). This is important because typically new poles would need to be purchased and installed due to additional weight and wind loading on the light poles from the solar panels and battery units that are installed on each pole in a typical installation. Some projects also involve replacing the inefficient existing light fixtures with LED or other high efficiency light fixtures. This reduces the overall power consumption of the lights and also reduces the size of the solar power system to operate them. The lights will operate from the solar power system unless there are extended low sunlight periods then they will automatically switch over to the grid power to operate them.
National Solar Technologies has experience with connecting solar power systems and hybrid solar and wind power systems into buildings using batteries to store the power for when you need it. Let National Solar Technologies assist you with integrating clean renewable solar power into your facility.
